10/6/25: From Summer Hustle to Fall Focus: Shifting Your Business Rhythm

It is officially Fall y’all! 🍁 Time to make that shift from flip flops and shades to cozy hoodies and warm beverages ☕️  Not only is it a shift in climate, it is a shift in our seasonal habits – this is the time of year where “hustle” will suck you in.  If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times – it is all about balance.  BALANCE 👍🏼 HUSTLE 👎🏼 Let’s shift our focus and start setting that business rhythm for the Fall season.

Let’s be real, who didn’t let a little chill about their habits in the summer months.  Everything was subject to change while my kids were home, I’m sure God thought my planning was hilarious.  Business definitely wasn’t moving the way it does when the kids are in school.  It is so funny that we go from that to this feeling of running a sprint October-December.

When this time of year hits, if I don’t have a plan, it all falls apart…no pun intended!  This is the time of year where you want to have a schedule and systems in place.  Your sanity depends on it!  So what does it take to get that business (and personal) rhythm going for you?

First, I like to start by looking ahead to each week.  Every Sunday, I am doing the Weekly Reset Checklist steps to ensure my time is managed for the week.  If you aren’t sure what that reset looks like, click the link above and get your free download.

Now, these next steps are unique to this season, because it is almost certainly a busy time in your personal life, but this is also the time of year where your business can flourish with a clear plan.

After I’ve looked at the week ahead, I’m going to look at the rest of the month.  Know your priorities, make sure you have their time locked down (family time, friend time, kids activities, etc.) and start making a plan for the rest of what you want to get done.  Here is an example:  In October, I need to make space for a lot of travel time and kid activities, but around that I need to host Coffee & Coaching, prepare for a workshop in November, launch a new digital workshop, and do some behind the scenes work on things to come (stay tuned).  If I want to hit some BIG goals, I need to carve that time out now so it doesn’t get away from me later.

Lastly, this is the one time of year where I really lock into the entire quarter.  Why?  If you have BIG goals you’ve been putting off, this last quarter is a great time to move them to reality.  A couple reasons, if you are producing a product or service, the holidays are the PRIME time to market that.  People are shopping, give them something new and exciting to buy.  Remember, after the first of the year, people will greatly decrease non-essential spending, so you want to create momentum.  And most importantly, you want to set yourself up for success to enjoy that holiday season on a personal level, so if you are very strategic and exact in your movements the first 10 weeks of the quarter, you can relax in the last two weeks.

This may seem daunting, but I want to challenge you to really sit down and focus on your week, month, and quarter.  Make a plan, personally and professionally, and create a path to success.  Are you unsure how to do that?  Let’s schedule a call and get something going https://zoee.com/melissathury/2001270
