3/16/26:  Busy or Brave? Why Women Entrepreneurs Stay Stuck

Whether it is life or business, I bet you have that one thing you’ve been meaning to do but you’re just too busy to get around to it.  When you think about that thing, tell me – are you too busy or are you lacking bravery?

Some of the biggest choices and actions in life require bravery – moving out of your parents home, picking someone to spend your life with, having children, careers, etc.

But why are we so afraid to be brave and go after what we want?

Because taking a chance could mean failure.

You know what else taking a chance could mean?  Success!

Bravery doesn’t have to be big or bold.  It can be small, meaningful, and just the first in a series of brave moments.  What can those moments look like?

I have been wanting to expand Coffee & Coaching into new communities, but put it off for a month or two.  Finally, within the past few weeks, I reached out to coffee shops in two new communities.  The result – I will be adding this service in Valley City in March and Carrington in April.

It can be bigger, too.  Recently, I made the decision to actively and aggressively pursue public speaking in 2026.  Although this is in the building stages, I am excited.  I’m also aware that something like this will lead to a lot of rejection, but I am choosing bravery and doing it anyway.

It could also be choosing to increase your visibility, raising your prices, having difficult conversations, or adding services.  

Regardless of what it is, you may fail.  You may succeed.  Don’t be surprised if when you get brave, you experience incredible growth, whether in life or business.  Wayne Gretzky had a great quote, “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take,” but I have a different quote that my kids will tell you I use way too often  – “If you don’t ask, the answer is always no”.
